Plyndi App Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

This is the privacy policy for the Plyndi iOS app. For how this website handles data, see the website privacy policy.

1. Introduction

Plyndi ("Plyndi," "we," "us") is a personal organization app — covering finance tracking, shopping lists, to-do lists, fitness, and travel planning — built and maintained by an independent developer. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain terms, what information the app handles and how.

By using Plyndi, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Information We Collect

Data you enter: transactions, income and expense entries, categories, account names and balances, budgets, and savings goals — all entered manually; Plyndi does not connect to your bank account. Also: shopping list items, to-do tasks and due dates, fitness workouts and activity logs, and travel itineraries, checklists, and budgets.

Account information: if you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the basic profile information those providers share with us (typically your name and email), used only to identify you within the app.

Basic technical data: standard device and crash diagnostics that iOS itself may collect, used only to fix bugs.

Plyndi does not have a Health & Wellness module — we do not ask for or store water intake, weight, or general health records.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

Plyndi operates its own servers to provide AI features. When you use an AI feature, the data needed to generate that response is sent to our servers and our AI provider for processing. We store your recent AI results and AI credit usage to operate the service, and we never sell your personal data. By default, everything else you enter stays on your device.

If you turn on iCloud backup or Google Drive backup, your data is copied to your own private iCloud or Google Drive account — spaces controlled by Apple or Google under their own privacy terms, not by us. We can’t see or access what’s stored there.

4. AI Features

Some features (budget insights, trip suggestions, planning tips, and similar) are powered by AI. When you use one of these features, only the specific data needed to generate that response — for example, your recent transactions for a budget insight, or your itinerary for a trip suggestion — is sent to our servers and our AI provider for processing. We store your recent AI results and AI credit usage to operate the service, and we never sell your personal data.

AI-generated suggestions are produced automatically, aren’t reviewed by a person, and may be inaccurate or unsuited to your situation. See our Terms of Service for the full disclaimer.

5. Sign-In Providers

Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In are handled entirely by Apple and Google. We only receive the profile information they choose to share with us — your login credentials are never visible to us.

6. What We Don't Do

  • We don’t run advertising or ad networks in the app.
  • Some cards on Home and Explore are affiliate links to travel partners such as Trip.com. If you book after tapping one, Plyndi may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Tapping one opens your browser — we don’t send your personal data to the partner.
  • We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We don’t link to your bank account — all financial data in Plyndi is entered manually by you.
  • We don’t collect health records like weight or water intake — that module has been removed.

If any of this changes as the app grows, we’ll update this Policy first, and note the change at the top.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Since your data lives on your device by default, deleting the app deletes your data. If you’ve turned on iCloud or Google Drive backup, that copy lives in your own account and follows Apple’s or Google’s own retention rules — you can remove it from your iCloud or Drive settings at any time. If you’d like help with anything else, contact us. You can also delete your Plyndi profile, device data, and cloud backup at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account.

8. Children's Privacy

Plyndi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we’ll remove it.

9. Your Choices

You can edit or delete anything you’ve entered directly in the app, at any time. You can turn notifications or location permissions on or off in your device’s Settings. You can turn iCloud or Google Drive backup on or off whenever you like.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. We’ll update the date at the top when we do. Continuing to use Plyndi after a change means you accept the update.

11. Language

This Policy is provided in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Burmese, Thai, Vietnamese, Arabic, Spanish, German, and French for convenience. If a translation conflicts with the English text, the English version governs.
