Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 21, 2026
This policy explains what information Plyndi collects when you visit this site, why, and what choices you have. Plyndi is operated by an individual (Adrian) as an independent travel guide site.
This policy covers this website. The Plyndi iOS app has its own policy: see the Plyndi App Privacy Policy for what it stores on your device and what it sends to Plyndi’s servers.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, Plyndi's hosting and analytics tools automatically log standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring site, and timestamps. This is used in aggregate to understand which guides are useful and to keep the site running reliably — it is not used to identify you personally.
Cookies
Plyndi uses cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential site function — remembering basic preferences as you navigate.
- Analytics — understanding aggregate traffic and usage patterns.
- Advertising — none. Plyndi runs no advertising network on this site and sets no advertising cookies. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before any ad code goes live.
- Affiliate tracking — when you click an affiliate link (for example, to Trip.com), a tracking cookie may be set so the partner can attribute a resulting booking to Plyndi. These cookies are set by the third-party partner, not by Plyndi directly, and are governed by that partner's own privacy policy.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies may affect some site functionality.
Third-party services
Plyndi may use the following categories of third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Website hosting and content delivery
- Analytics (e.g. to understand traffic patterns)
- Travel booking affiliate programs (currently Trip.com; Booking.com via Commission Junction is applied for but not live)
- Email newsletter delivery, if you subscribe
Contact forms and email signup
If you use the contact form, the information you provide (name, email, message) is used only to respond to you. If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is used only to send guide updates and can be unsubscribed from at any time.
Children's privacy
Plyndi is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, contact us and it will be removed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data collected about you, and to opt out of certain data processing (including personalized advertising, as noted above). To exercise these rights, contact us.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site adds new features or affiliate partnerships. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests to access or delete data held about you, can be sent to support@plyndi.com or through the contact page. See the support page for what to include.
